Medicine

Another beautiful piece of advice given by someone with experience. We often forget that wisdom isn’t the result of just getting old or of our studies alone. Wisdom is developed through experience; through the “Hero Journey” of falling and getting back up, of making mistakes and learning from them. Wisdom isn’t found within any extreme but it is found when seeking balance in our world of duality; not by negating self or abusing self but by the integration of all aspects of self.

I did not write the following piece, I have translated it, as I found its message simple yet powerful. It reminded me that just as important as it is to learn, to seek, to analyze, is to simply be, to enjoy, to relax, to live!

Our elderly are a treasure, we can learn so much from them if we only take the time to listen. 😉

MEDICINE

“Heal my child with the sunlight and the rays of the moon. Heal with the sound of the river and the waterfall, with the rocking of the sea and the flapping of the birds.

Heal my child, with mint leafs and peppermint, with neem and eucalyptus.

Sweeten yourself with lavender, rosemary, and chamomile.

Hug yourself with the cocoa bean and a hint of cinnamon. Sweeten your tea with love instead of sugar and drink it while gazing at the stars.

Heal my child enjoying the kisses the wind gives you and the hugs from the rain.

Make yourself strong by walking bare feet on the ground and connect with everything that comes from it.

Become smarter every day, pay attention to your intuition and look at the world through your third eye. Jump, dance, sing so you can live happier.

Heal my child with beautiful love and always, always remember … YOU are the medicine!

I passionately believe one person can make a difference. I write from my own experiences and interests. It is my greatest hope that by writing about my own challenges, victories, hopes and learnings, others may feel inspired to believe more in their inner power and to fully embrace themselves!
