The way you love me ignites my soul
The way you love me is a blessing from the Gods

Your being brings joy and hope to my darkness
Your presence comforts my long hours
You dare to love past my defenses
The silence in my throat becomes voice

Tears contained for so long, now run freely
There is no judgement in your eyes
Only love is what you give back

I close my eyes and allow myself to rest
Within your arms I find safe harbor
Your kisses erase all the pain
Your smile defeats my fears

For a while I had forgotten what love is
Yet like thunder you appeared in my life
Strong and wild
Gentle and kind

Your soul knows of pain
Yet your spirit they could not break
Despite all the suffering

I locked myself lost in my own sorrow
