There is overwhelming silence within this empty space
The clock reminds me of time's passing
Forcing me to face the sad reality
You are no longer here
Life saw fit to take you away
The wind outside howling as if crying to be free
I am missing you today
I can't be with you,
You have become poetry
Tender and bitter moments now mixed within my heart
Short days and intense nights
Years have passed yet I can't forget
To let go of your memory...
I would rather be dead
Today I sit here on this chair
The silk scarf you gave wrapped around my neck
Its sweet texture, a reminder of your lips upon my skin
My spirit cries out for yours
Don't let me die in here
Time may pass yet I will think of you still
I will think of the girl who stole your heart
And the kind raw soul who took mine
I can't be with you but until then
I will hold you in my heart
Keeping you forever near.
