The Calm After the Storm

(Rough Copy)

The sun has not yet risen
Only the stars guide my path
Each footstep leaves a print on the sand

Last night I could not sleep
Your memory haunted me
No matter how hard I tried
I felt your calling
Now here I am
To you I am crawling

Little by little the sky starts to clear
The soft rays illuminate what once was
The sky and the ocean are now divided
Just the way you and I are

As I listen to the waves meet the shore
I feel as if their restlessness matches my soul
A subconscious sigh rises out from inside of me
The golden hour is ascending
Magnificent and glorious
Yet I feel lost and suspended

I stand here so the winds may carry my prayer
Woman, you don't know the power of your love
I stand here robust and alone
While many seek to console
Only you have the power to do so

You are water to my thirsty being
I am the one who can soothe your soul
I want to create peace for you
To be there when the tears run freely
I want to be the calm after the storm

I want to explore every inch of your body
Obliterating old dogmas
Liberating us from the shackles imposed
I want you to feel my fire
To burn with me once more

I want to set you ablaze
Two bodies uniting
Fears dissolving
Ashes piling
Pleasure rising
Letting the past go

Ecstasy becomes our cradle
Where you and I become one with God
For you and I are destined to be together
It is written within the divine scrolls

I want to heal your pain
To be the rock on which you discharge your pleasure
My heart is with you even when the rest of me is not
For you are the one I love
And I am your calm after the storm
